With this paper, we’ll take up the subject of Adam’s commission found at Genesis 1:26 and Genesis 1:28 which reads as follows: “26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth …. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
We have a very interesting situation with this passage, for we have the actual creation of Adam-man at verse 27, sandwiched between his commission defined at verses 26 & 28. Therefore, this places Adam right at the heart, the very epicenter of his appointed vocation. He is enclosed entirely within it. Hence, there is no way he can avoid doing the job he was created for! Yet there are those in Israel Identity who dance up and down declaring that Genesis 1:27 is the creation of the non-Adamic races! Should that be true – and thank the Almighty it’s not – the non-Adamic races would have the commission of subduing the White Adamic race! Yet, when someone ruptures their distorted premise, they fume, bristle, fuss, and rage to no end!
Adam-man (#120) was commanded to take “dominion” over the earth. This verb means “to rule over” at Genesis 1:28. A passage where the context is similar is at Lev. 26:17. I hardly believe that the non-Adamic races were given the Divine authority to “rule over” the Adamic race, as this would be the implication if the 6th & 8th day creation proponents are correct! Rather, it should be the other way around! Though Israel was warned at Lev. 26:17 that if we didn’t “hearken” to Yahweh, He would allow the enemy to “punish” them; the words used there are “reign over you.” The Hebrew word for “dominion” or “reign” is #7287 in the Strong’s. #7287 can also mean to “tread down.” The Enhanced Strong’s Lexicon says the following:
“7287 רדח [radah/raw·daw/] v. A primitive root; Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament 2121, 2122; Goodrick-Kohlenberger 8097 and 8098; 27 occurrences; AV translates as ‘rule’ 13 times, ‘dominion’ nine times, ‘take’ twice, ‘prevaileth’ once, ‘reign’ once, and ‘ruler’ once. 1 to rule, have dominion, dominate, tread down. 1a (Qal) to have dominion, rule, subjugate. 1b (Hiphil) to cause to dominate. 2 to scrape out. 2a (Qal) to scrape, scrape out.”
The Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament:“2121רדח (rādâ) I, rule. Derivative 2121a מרדח (mirdâ) dominion (Isa 14:6). This verbal root is found in later Semitic dialects (but not Ugaritic). It occurs in two senses. One is cognate to Akkadian radu although the Hebrew root developed the specialized meaning ‘to tread’ and is used in the Qal stem in this sense only once (Joel 3:13), ‘Come! Tread! for the winepress is full, the vats are overflowing.’ The second meaning is ‘to rule’ and is used some twenty-two times in the ot, occurring in every section and type of context. The initial usage appears in Gen 1:28, ‘And let them rule over the fish of the sea.’ (The allusion to this verse in Ps 8:6 [H 7] uses māšal.) There is no definite structure to its use in parallel poetry, as the root may be placed in either the first (Ps 68:28) or the second hemistich (Ps 49:15). rādâ does not occur as a synonym in proximity to the more frequent verb, māšal (q.v.). Generally rādâ is limited to human rather than divine dominion (Ps 110:2, et al.) The root is used of the rule of Israel over its enemies (Isa 14:2) and of the Gentile nations’ rule over subject peoples (Isa 14:6). A most difficult and unusual usage occurs in Lam 1:13, RSV mistakenly reads, ‘From on high he sent fire; into my bones he made it descend,’ while KJV and jps (Jewish Publication Society) more precisely translate, ‘From above hath he sent fire into my bones, and it prevaileth against them.’ But to be preferred is the reading, ‘He sent fire from above into my very bones and it overruled them.’ There is one instance of the Hiphil stem in Isa 41:2, speaking of the reign of the king-messiah, ‘And causes him to rule over kings.’
“A possible derivative is mirdâ ‘dominion’ which is not found unless it be the true reading of the MT mrdāp (q.v.) in Isa 14:6.”
The Hebrew word for “subdue”, found at Genesis 1:28, is #3533 in the Strong’s. It also has the connotation to “tread down.” It would appear then, that Adam’s commission was both to “rule” and to “tread down.” At Numbers 32:22 the word #3533 appears to mean to “subdue” by making war. The Enhanced Strong’s Lexicon says the following:
“3533: כבש [kabash/kaw·bash/] v. A primitive root; Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament 951; Goodrick-Kohlenberger 3899; 15 occurrences; AV translates as ‘subdue’ eight times, ‘bring into subjection’ three times, ‘bring into bondage’ twice, ‘keep under’ once, and ‘force’ once. 1 to subject, subdue, force, keep under, bring into bondage. 1a (Qal). 1a1 to bring into bondage, make subservient. 1a2 to subdue, force, violate. 1a3 to subdue, dominate, tread down. 1b (Niphal) to be subdued. 1c (Piel) to subdue. 1d (Hiphil) to bring into bondage.” Note: Evidently this is a Hebrew word incorporated into the yiddish as a slang word “kabosh” meaning “to put a stop to something.”
From the Dictionary of Biblical Languages with Semantic Domains:“3899 כבש (kabash): v.; = Strong’s lexicon 3533; Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament 951—1. Louw-Nida Greek-English Lexicon 39.52-39.61 (qal) subdue, overcome, enslave, i.e., conquer and control an environment or people (Ge 1:28; 2 Ch 28:10 …; (nif = Niphal) be subdued, be subject, be brought under control (Nu 32:22, 29; Jos 18:1; 1 Ch 22:18; Ne 5:5b+ (+ = More references in bhs)); (piel) subdue (2 Sa 8:11+); (hif = Hiphil) subdue, subjugate …; 2. Everyone seems to be overly concerned about where the Bible speaks of the non-Adamites. If we will go back to Genesis 1:26, 28, it would have to fall in the classification of: “… and over all the earth” or “and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” If one will notice, “man”, the “fish of the sea”, the “fowl of the air”, the “cattle”, and “every creeping thing” are separately mentioned, and to include them again under the category “… and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth” would be superfluous. One thing the Bible isn’t: it isn’t redundant! When the Bible speaks of #120 “man”, it is speaking of Adam-man!
I’m not saying that the Bible doesn’t repeat itself, for it does; but when it does, we can be quite sure there is a good reason for it. It’s like the passages at Isaiah 21:9 and Revelation 14:8 where it says in part: “… Babylon is fallen, is fallen …” In other words, historically, the great city of Babylon fell to Cyrus of Persia in 539 B.C., and today we have another symbolic Babylon in our present-day great monetary-political-religious system which controls the entire world, but is due to fall also, as the great city of ancient Babylon fell, never to rise again.
With that in mind, we need to check Genesis 1:26, 28 again to see what is repeated. You will find its “the fish of the sea” and “the fowl of the air” which are both stated a second time. I don’t want to read more into this than it says, but I believe that this is an indication that the White Adamites were to conquer both the oceans and the skies. And it has been Adamites who’ve dove deeper in the oceans and flown higher in the skies. The conquering of the seas has taken us thousands of years and the conquering of the skies has only happened in recent history, but no other people can claim the recognition of either! This alone should prove beyond all reasonable doubt that the “man” at Genesis 1:26-27 is not the other races, but #120 White Adam-man! The 6th & 8th day creation advocates should be ashamed of themselves!
Unless we comprehend that the Almighty gave to Adam the authority to be the chief administrator over that which was created before him, we miss the entire purpose for his creation. That purpose is stated very appropriately at Psalm 8:4-8:
“4 What is [enosh-]man (#582), that thou art mindful of him? and the son of [Adam-]man (#120), that thou visitest him? 5 For thou hast made him (Adam-man) a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: 7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts (#929) of the field; 8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.”
For the phrase “the beasts of the field” to be in context at verse 7 in this passage, it must correspond with Genesis 1:26 where the term “cattle” is used. Josephus put it quite properly by stating “four-footed beasts”, Antiquities 1:1:1. Verse 4 asks a very appropriate question here: “What is [enosh-]man (#582), that thou art mindful of him?” A second question should then be asked: If Yahweh is not “mindful” of enosh-man, why should we be? How many times have we read Psalm 8:4 not realizing that it is comparing two different kinds of man?! This is the difference between just surface-reading the Bible or diligently searching out the truth of the matter! That truth is the fact that the Almighty has put Adam in charge of this world! That’s what it means when it says in verse 5 “thou hast put all things under his feet.” This has not fully happened as of yet; as Satan and his children, the “Jews” of Revelation 2:9 & 3:9, have usurped that position, because Israel refused to exterminate every last Canaanite to the man, including women and children!
That is where the Incarnation comes into the picture! When God came in the flesh, in the person of Jesus the Messiah, he became the qualified Adamite to have all things put under His feet. As I have stated before, the person of Jesus was made up of 23 chromosomes from His mother Mary and 23 chromosomes from The Most High through the Holy Spirit without the means of sexual intercourse. He wouldn’t have been a perfect man otherwise. Today, 6-30-2004, there was a so-called “Bible teacher” on television by the name of Les Feldick, who said that “Christ didn’t get any of his blood from his mother Mary”, which is true. Where Feldick went wrong is he next claimed that “Christ got all His blood from His Father God.” The scientific truth is, Christ didn’t get His blood from either His mother or “God.” At conception Mary contributed 23 chromosomes and the Holy Spirit contributed 23 chromosomes, and the fetus made its own blood from those 46 chromosomes! As the fetus developed, every single cell in His body contained those same original 46 chromosomes; 23 from His mother and 23 from the Father through the Holy Spirit! Thus, every single cell of Jesus’s blood was half Adam-man and half “God”! Further, being half man and half “God” certainly made Jesus 100% Adamic, for Adam was the “son of God.” Jesus came in the flesh containing 46 chromosomes, He was crucified in the flesh containing 46 chromosomes, He arose from the dead in the flesh containing 46 chromosomes, He ascended in the flesh containing 46 chromosomes, and He will return at His Second Advent in the flesh with those same 46 chromosomes; 23 from His mother and 23 from the Father! Any other teaching is Antichrist!
This is not yet all the story! This union of Jesus and Adam-man had to be of the same genetic family tree! In other words, both parties had to have the same genes. If it were not of the same family tree, it would be a genetic misfit. That is how we can know we are genetically the same as Jesus! We are His genetic sons and daughters! What’s more, these chromosomes come in two matching pairs of 23, one set from the mother and one set from the father, and they have to fit together perfectly. Any mismatch destroys the offspring’s genetics forever throughout all the generations after him/her. Anyone in Israel Identity claiming that race doesn’t make a difference is a liar, plain and simple! The truth is, we have a racial, genetic kinsman Redeemer!
Some of those holding to the 6th & 8th day creation theory contend that Adam’s commission is to rule over the other races! They take Psalm 2:8 completely out-of-context where it says: “Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.” They assume we are to inherit the other races as a work force, but rather the heathen are going to be destroyed, and we will receive their lands as our “possession.” Psalm 2 has nothing to do with us inheriting the non-Adamites. Psalm 2:1 is quoted by Peter at Acts 4:25: “Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?” Again at Acts 13:33, Psalm 2:7 is cited: “God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.” It should be perfectly clear at 2:7 that David is speaking of our Messiah. The question arises, then, if the “Son” at verse 7 is Jesus our Redeemer, who or what is “thine inheritance” at verse 8? At Acts 2:29-30 we are informed that David was a prophet, and his prophecy at Psalm 2:7 of Christ validates that fact. So we must ask again, is the entire passage of Psalm 2 in the future in respect to David’s time? Hence, if David meant Jesus at Psalm 2:7, who are we to change it to “us”? So who inherits who or what? Thus, it’s not who we are going to rule, but who the Christ is going to rule, and it’s not the “other races” or “heathen.” I’m often amazed where all these people come up with all of their harebrained ideas! Adam was assigned segregation rather than leadership over the non-Adamic peoples!
There is a very interesting passage that has been found in the Dead Sea Scrolls on the royal tribe of Judah. The following is from the book The Dead Sea Scrolls Translated, Second Edition, by Florentino Garcia Martinez, Wilfred G. E. Watson, Translator, page 215. This is from scroll 4qGenesis Peshera (4q252):
“Col. v 1 Gen. 49:10 A sovereign shall [not] be removed from the tribe of Judah. While Israel has the dominion, 2 there will [not] lack someone who sits on the throne of David. For «the staff» is the covenant of royalty, 3 [the thou]sands of Israel are «the feet». Until the messiah of justice comes, the branch 4 of David. For to him and to his descendants has been given the covenant of royalty over his people for all everlasting generations, which 5 he has observed […] the Law with the men of the Community, for 6 […] it is the assembly of the men of […] 7 […] He gives ”
It should be understood that this passage from the Dead Sea Scrolls is not Scripture in itself, but rather commentary by some priest or scribe. But whoever wrote this passage understood that the Tribe of Judah was the royal tribe, and that there is an everlasting covenant with David’s descendants to sit on his throne! The interesting thing about this passage is that it has the [House of] Israel as “the feet.” This accords well with Psalm 2:8 in the KJV, had it been translated “[Adamic] nations” rather than “heathen”, and makes a lot more sense! This passage is especially outstanding where it says “For to him (David) and to his descendants has been given the covenant of royalty over his people for all everlasting generations …”
Again from the book The Dead Sea Scrolls Translated, Second Edition, by Florentino Garcia Martinez, Wilfred G. E. Watson, Translator, page 309. This is from scroll 11qPsalmsa(11q5[11qPsa]), Col. XXVII:
“Col. xxvii (Compositions of David › 2 Sam 23:7): 1 and the shaft of his spear and he cast them in the fire leaving no trace of them. 2 [Blank] And David, son of Jesse, was wise, a luminary like the light of the sun, learned, 3 [Blank] knowledgeable, and perfect in all his paths before God and men. And to him 4 [Blank] YHWH gave a wise and enlightened spirit. And he wrote psalms: 5 three thousand six hundred; and songs to be sung before the altar over the perpetual 6 offering of every day, for all the days of the year: three hundred 7 and sixty-four; and for the Sabbath offerings: fifty-two songs; and for the offering for the beginning 8 of the month, and for all the days of the festivals, and for the day of atonement: thirty songs. 9 And all the songs which he composed were four hundred and forty-six. And songs 10 to be sung over the possessed: four. The total was four thousand and fifty. 11 He composed them all through the spirit of prophecy which had been given to him from before the Most High. [Blank] ”
This passage has many things to consider, but I wish to point out that many of David’s Psalms are prophecy, especially Psalm 2. Do we have any other reference to support the statement, “For «the staff» is the covenant of royalty, 3 [the thou]sands of Israel are «the feet»”? Yes, we do, at Lamentations 2:1-2 (ASV): “1 How hath the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger! He hath cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, And hath not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger. 2 The Lord hath swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and hath not pitied: He hath thrown down in his wrath the strongholds of the daughter of Judah; He hath brought them down to the ground; he hath profaned the kingdom and the princes thereof.” The term “footstool” simply implies “servant of the king”! All Israelites are Yahweh’s servants!
I will now quote excerpts from The Zondervan Pictorial Encyclopedia of the Bible on the topic “footstool”, volume 2, page 588: “FOOTSTOOL … A low stool for supporting the feet of a person seated upon a pretentious seat, as a throne. In the RSV the word is used in a literal sense only once (2 Chron 9:18) where it is said that Solomon’s throne had six steps and a footstool of gold; in the KJV … The thirteen other times the word is used are figurative, and in all of them it is God who makes use of the footstool … The figurative uses of the word fall into the following groups: (1) Of the earth; heaven is the throne of God and the earth His footstool (Isa 66:1; Matt 5:35; Acts 7:49). (2) Of the Ark of the covenant in the Tabernacle (1 Chron 28:2). (3) Of the Temple (Pss 99:5; 132:7; Lam 2:1). (4) Of the enemies of the Messianic King who have been subdued by Him (Ps 110:1; Matt 22:44; Mark 12:36; Luke 20:43; Acts 2:35; Heb 1:13; and 10:13).”
From A Biblical Theology of the Old Testament by Roy B. Zuck, page 181 we read a very appropriate comment: “… David states explicitly, ‘The Lord [Str. #3068] says to my Lord [Str. # 113] [i.e., David]: ‘Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet,’ Ps. 110:1.
“When this elevated language is viewed in light of another psalm of David (Psalm 2) it is most evident that the priestly king is none other than the Son of God. The relevant lines read, ‘He said to me, ‘You are my son, Today I have become your father. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.’ (Ps. 2:7b–).”
You will notice that Zuck properly rendered Psalm 2:8 as “nations” rather than “heathen.” One may also check Smith & Goodspeed for a translation of “nations” here. In fact, the last phrase should have read “[And] the ends of the earth your possession.” I like this rendering, for it implies that the Lion of the Tribe of Judah will rule over all Israel, and Israel will possess the entire (every square foot of the) earth, not leaving a single square inch for others.
Putting everything in its proper perspective, we have Yahweh Elohim creating Adam-man at Genesis 1:27 & 2:7 in His own Image, whereupon Yahweh in Spirit takes upon Himself Adam in the flesh born of Judah inheriting Judah’s rod, who in turn directs Israel as His “feet” which then treads upon the enemy who are His “footstool.”
The Representative of Adam-man shall then realize His original destiny of ‘man’ as the Head of the creation (Gen. 1:26, 28), and the center of the league of Israel. On the other hand, Satan as the serpent is the representative head of all that is bestial and corrupt. This ‘son of man’, however, is always associated with Messiah’s Second coming, inasmuch as the Kingdom awaits Him in that it belongs to Him as the Redeemer of His people and the Restorer of our Inheritance. ‘Yahweh shall send the rod of thy strength (Messiah) out of Zion.’
His investiture was at His ascension ‘with the clouds of heaven’, (Acts 1:9, Matt. 28:18), which is in like manner a pledge of His return, (Acts 1:11, Mat. 26:64), and ‘with clouds’ (Rev. 1:7). At His First Advent the kingdom was given to Him in title and invisible exercise; whereas at His second coming it shall be in visible administration: (1) He will vindicate it from the misrule of those who have plundered it under the maladministration of Satan and his children whom have worked diligently to destroy the seed of the woman; but the seed of the woman through Jesus the Christ, the rightful heir, (2) will assert His right on behalf of His kinsman in all His Majesty, (Psalm 2:6-9, Ezek. 1:27-28, Heb. 1:2, Rev. 19:13-16). At Christ’s coming forth, because He sits at Yahweh’s right hand, His enemies are made His footstool; then the kingdom is given to the Son in actual investiture and He comes to crush His so-prepared footstool under His feet. But the words ‘with the clouds’ agree best with His investiture at His ascension, though invisibly given Him then (Eph. 1:20-22); in the prophetic view, however, is the precursor of His coming again visibly to reign – “And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the ekklesia” (called out ones), Ephesians 1:22.
Such is Adam’s ultimate commission, for Yahweh took upon Himself 23 chromosomes of Adam in the flesh! Scripture confirms Yahshua was both the “root” and “branch” of Jesse, and therefore of David, for which see Isaiah 11:1, 10 (Romans 15:12), Revelation 5:5, 22:16, Jeremiah 23:5, 33:15, Zechariah 3:8 and 6:12, thus accounting for the 23 chromosomes of Mary’s genetics without which our Messiah could not be born in the manner prophesied. Likewise, unless Yahweh through the Holy Spirit, in some manner, supplied the matching genetic 23 chromosomes, conception could not have taken place, leaving Scripture unfulfilled!
ADAM’S COMMISSION STILL SOMEWHAT CONFUSING
If we will go back to Genesis 1:26 & 28, we see again that Adam and his kind were given authority over Yahweh Elohim’s creation. Then, once we understand that the Adam at Genesis 1:27 and 2:7 are the same Adam, we have a dilemma on our hands, for nowhere in Scripture is the creation of the non-Adamic races mentioned! Therefore, they cannot be “kind … after his kind”, nor can it be implied that “it was good.”
At this point, I would like to quote from William Finck’s Genesis Overview: “I know that many have a strong impulse to find in our Bibles the answers with which to rectify the proposals of men such as Velikovsky (Worlds In Collision) and Sitchin, or to harmonize the Bible with the pre-Adamic archaeological record. But the truth is that Velikovsky and Sitchin are modern-day false prophets, and children of Belial in whom there is NO TRUTH (John 8:44) for they are both ‘Jews’, and that the Bible is a history of our own race which tells us nothing of pre-Adamic earth history: except for the presence and origination of the Adversary (Satan).”
It’s simply amazing how many there are who have a higher regard for Velikovsky and Sitchin than for Scripture! I have six of Sitchin’s books in my library that someone donated to me, but you can be considerably sure that I will be hesitant to quote from him – if I ever do – and I haven’t yet!
But we must get back to the issue at hand: Who’s going to rule over what, or whom, and when? When we go back to Genesis, there is not one peep about Adam ruling over the non-Adamic! Yahweh has given Adam the command to “drive out”, not rule over, Exodus 34:24. Furthermore, when we neglected to drive them out, Yahweh turned the tables on us at Numbers 33:55, and allowed our enemy to take charge, and he has been in charge ever since. The Adamic rulers on down through the history of Israel have failed miserably. Our best kings in Europe of the House of David, while doing well in some areas, have also failed.
Let’s take the story of India and South Africa for instance. I speak of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, 1869-1948. After his basic education in India, while under British rule, he went to England in 1888 to study law, and was accepted into the Temple bar; returning back to India again. He then went to South Africa to practice his vocation where he became somewhat successful as both a lawyer and politician. But one day, as the custom was in South Africa, Gandhi got kicked off a train because of his skin color, and spent all night in considerable inconvenience. From this, Gandhi was so incensed that he started to devise in 1906 his first plan for nonviolent resistance derived from reading Henry Thoreau, Leo Tolstoy, along with both the New Testament and Hindu scriptures. To make a long story short, that same ideology of “nonviolent resistance” was used against us by the “Jew” backed civil rights movement. So that is an example of what we get when we attempt to rule over non-Adamites or half-breed Adamites! And there are thousands of similar stories.
